Carmel Dining Collection

The Carmel Dining Collection is made of solid hardwood and has a clean functional design. It comes in a muted oyster grey or a rustic brown. A simple dining room foundation suited for small to large areas with standard counter height options. Here at Al’s Furniture, voted Modesto’s favorite furniture store year after year, we have three different Carmel dining sets to choose from. For smaller areas we there’s the 3 piece 46” drop leaf table set shown on the floor in the muted oyster grey with two side chairs. If you need more room drop the two 8” leaves to make a 30” square table set. The Carmel also, comes in a 5 piece oval pedestal set shown on the floor in rustic brown. The table with butterfly leaf out is a 54” oval dining table or the self storing butterfly leaf folds in to make a 42” round dining table set with four side chairs, perfect for a breakfast nook area. Not All Furniture is Made in China

Some media outlets have been telling people not to buy furniture because of the impending tariffs on China. But, the truth is, there’s no reason to let the tariffs scare you off from buying furniture now. Let’s shed some light on a subject that many people are confused about and maybe not sure what to believe.

The truth is NOT all furniture is made in China. Not all furniture is subject to tariffs.

Clint Engel, Senior Retail Editor, Furniture Today recently wrote in his blog article regarding the furniture industry and the tariffs that Chinese furniture and mattresses accounted for a little less than 33% of all residential furniture and mattresses sold in this country last year. The rest, some 67% comes from other non-tariffed countries or was produced domestically. Which means, that the majority of furniture is not subject to tariffs.

So there’s no reason to let the impending tariffs keep you from buying new furniture. Al’s Furniture has a great selection of American made furniture that is not subject to tariffs.
